Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering seeks an IT Systems Administrator to join our internal IT team in Langley, BC, supporting employees and core IT systems across the organization. This entry‑level role is ideal for someone with foundational IT knowledge who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic internal IT environment.

The successful candidate will support a globally connected workforce across North America and international offices, gaining exposure to cloud

Qualifications

• Exposure to Azure and GCP cloud platforms.
• Understanding of networking (IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, routing etc).
• Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Linux operating systems.
• General PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Introductory experience or coursework with AD, firewalls and virtualization.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Good customer-service skills.
• Minimum 1-2 years of related experience, internship experience, or relevant technical education.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and user accounts.
• Support Windows workstations and basic Linux tasks.
• Assist with Active Directory / Entra user and group management.
• Maintain and support basic network and VPN issues.
• Assist with Cisco networking equipment and pfSense / OPNsense firewalls.
• Support virtual machines in VMware and Proxmox environment.
• Build and maintaining automation scripts in Linux and Powershell.
• Document issues, fixes, and standard procedures.
