An established industry player is seeking a skilled Data Protection Analyst to enhance security measures and protect critical data. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with leadership to develop and implement data loss prevention strategies while utilizing advanced analytical skills to identify risks. Remote Work: Hybrid
Develops and executes data protection security analysis and controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems. Technically proficient/skilled communicator to engage with senior leadership building strong relationships collaborating to identify, analyze and implement data security controls and data security protective measures.
This is a hybrid position. You will be required to come to the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Responsible for utilizing exceptional communication and social skills to articulate complex ideas effectively engage with senior leadership.
• Advanced data analytical skills to develop and implement tailored DLP rules, including analyses of data flows/patterns to identify potential risks.
• Design cross platform DLP policies from complex datasets, statistical techniques and data visualization to ensure optimal protection.
• Operationalizes classification, data-at-rest and data-in-motion technology.
• Leads security policies to control virtual access to systems.
• Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by data theft, destruction, alteration or mis-use.
• Internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.
• Collaborates with team to include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years of experience.
Preferred Requirements:
• Advanced Degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with end user issues.
• Demonstrated technical experience.
• Demonstrated experience working independently and collaboratively on projects.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting.
• Broad knowledge of applicable IT systems/applications.
• Experience developing new systems and tools.
• Experience in documenting and maintaining up-to-date systems procedures.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills.
• Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
