Location: Room 589 - 9515 - 107 ST, Edmonton, Alberta, CAN, T5K 2C3

Must Have:

  1. High School Diploma/GED
  2. Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  3. Experience in a customer service role, including answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, providing documents to applicants, and referring callers to appropriate areas.

Nice to Have:

  1. Work experience creating and using advanced Excel skills such as Pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  2. Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
  3. Experience with ServiceNow platform
  4. Experience using CXone

Description:

An Information Officer is responsible for providing courteous, timely, and accurate information to callers regarding various programs via phone and email. The role involves:

  1. Ensuring clients understand requirements and information to empower them to achieve their objectives.
  2. Maintaining professional decorum when dealing with various caller issues and providing appropriate referrals to government departments and agencies.
  3. Logging client contacts in ServiceNow for statistical and reporting purposes.
  4. Anticipating program changes and reacting with agility in a change-heavy environment.

Working Hours/Location:

• Standard hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays observed by the province.

• Flexibility for 24/7 shift work is required, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Equipment Requirements:

The Province will provide the office space, computer, furniture, and office supplies for in-person work. The fixed rate must include all overhead and costs to perform the services for the duration of the contract.
