Working within the Nunavut Bureau of Statistics and reporting to the Territorial Statistician, the Information Officer/Analyst (Economics) is accountable for producing a wide variety of statistical publications and reports; responding to requests for statistical information; researching information; developing, maintaining and interpreting economic data; and general administrative functions along with other related duties.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are usually obtained through a recognized
University degree in Statistics, Economics or related field, along with two (2) years’ experience in an office environment in a research capacity or position.
The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment are also considered assets.
