Job Description

Department Overview

The Protect Platform encompasses teams across North America dedicated to safeguarding TD customers, colleagues, and shareholders from cyber and financial crimes and fraud. Our teams lead enterprise-wide strategies for fraud, cyber threats, and technology risks, enhance analytics capabilities, and improve governance and collaboration across functions.

The Security Engineering team within the Protect Platform is responsible for planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, deploying, operationalizing, and supporting security solutions. These solutions focus on protecting the bank through technologies such as endpoint protection, data protection, vulnerability management, and SIEM, in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead initiatives for security technology capabilities, including drafting strategic roadmaps.
2. Ensure proper implementation and operation of security measures across TD interacting areas.
3. Participate in project activities: scoping, risk assessment, communication, and stakeholder collaboration.
4. Build relationships and support internal teams leveraging security tools and capabilities.
5. Partner with Operations to automate processes and improve efficiency.
6. Manage technology integration, especially post-mergers & acquisitions.
7. Monitor and control costs, including third-party negotiations.
8. Collaborate with governance and compliance groups on risk and regulatory issues.
9. Work with solution designers and architects to explore and recommend system capabilities.
10. Stay updated on technology trends, develop expertise in TD services, and support vendor relations.
