About Kensington Grey

Kensington Grey Agency Inc. is an award-winning management firm dedicated to elevating underrepresented voices in the creator economy. The agency focuses on opening doors and shaping long-term careers for powerful creators whose perspectives are often overlooked. Kensington Grey partners closely with talent to provide strategic guidance, visibility, and access to high-impact opportunities. The company is committed to inclusive representation, equitable growth, and building pathways for creators to thrive on a global stage.

Position Overview:

The Talent Director is a full-time hybrid role responsible for leading the talent strategy and relationship management across Kensington Grey's creator portfolio. This role oversees the full talent lifecycle, including sourcing and onboarding creators, managing day-to-day relationships, and aligning opportunities with each creator's long-term goals. The Talent Director will develop talent engagement plans, conduct performance reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to strengthen the agency’s employer brand and reputation in the creator economy. Daily responsibilities include coaching and supporting talent, resolving issues and concerns, managing contracts and negotiations in collaboration with leadership, and maintaining accurate records and reporting on talent performance. The Talent Director will also drive initiatives that promote creator satisfaction, retention, and professional growth in a remote-first environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Directly manage a team of 3-5 reports, which may include Talent Managers, a Project Manager or a Talent Success Specialist.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development to your direct reports, ensuring high team morale and performance.
  • Oversee team workflows, roster allocations, and performance goals to ensure balance, growth, and accountability.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development across the broader talent division in collaboration with agency leadership and HR.
  • Personally manage a small, high-value roster of top-tier creators who generate significant revenue and brand interest.
  • Provide strategic counsel, career development planning, and hands-on management to help these elite talents expand their influence, diversify their income streams, and scale their platforms.
  • Guide the team in developing multi-dimensional growth plans for their rosters, helping talent monetize across brand deals, content, licensing, products, events, and more.
  • Partner with internal teams (Brand Partnerships, Campaign Management, PR) to ensure creators are aligned with best-fit opportunities.
  • Monitor individual and team revenue performance and implement corrective action plans where necessary.
  • Lead vetting processes for new talent signings, ensuring cultural alignment and commercial viability.
  • Track industry trends and platform shifts to stay ahead of the curve in identifying emerging talent.
  • Ensure your team is upholding high standards for deal negotiation, communication, and relationship management.
  • Support internal process improvements and contribute to systems that streamline agency operations.
  • Serve as a senior liaison between the talent team and other departments to ensure clear communication and execution.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in influencer marketing, talent management, or entertainment.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, preferably within an agency or fast-paced media environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing top-tier talent and negotiating high-value deals.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and content monetization models.
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically - knowing when to lead and when to do.
