Job summary

Developmental Disabilities Association invites applications for an Infant Development Program Consultant. The role delivers home-based support to infants from birth to three years, partnering with families to promote development and meaningful participation.

The successful candidate will hold a related university degree, have experience in early intervention, and demonstrate strong communication, coordination, and teaching skills. A flexible schedule and CRM familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in area directly related to child development.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in early intervention.
  • Knowledge of theory, principles, and practices of early intervention, family centered practice, and community living sector.
  • Superior written/oral communication, coordination, counselling, and teaching skills.
  • Preference for Post-Secondary Diploma in Infant Development from UBC.
  • Flexible schedule to meet families' needs.
  • Understanding of and use of a CRM database

Responsibilities

  • Provide home-based services to infants birth to three years with developmental delays or risk of delays.
  • Assist families to optimize their child’s development and participation in activities.
  • Collaborate with the broader support team and caregivers to implement strategies.
