Job summary

Collingwood Neighbourhood House in Vancouver is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator for an Infant/Toddler program. The position is 35 hours per week with 7-hour rotating shifts from 7:15am to 6pm, starting October 19, 2026, and ending June 1, 2028.

You will apply contemporary ECE practices within a Reggio Emilia inspired environment, work with families and colleagues, follow Community Care Licensing requirements, and support each child’s holistic development through the BC Early

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age and eligible to work in Canada.
• ECE & Infant/Toddler License to Practice required.
• Criminal Record Check Clearance Letter required.
• Experience in licensed Infant & Toddler program.
• Current First Aid certificate required.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Understanding of Emergent Curriculum/Reggio Emilia Philosophy.
• Able to work in a multicultural/intercultural environment.
• Flexible hours availability.
• ECEBC membership preferred.

Salary & Benefits

• Compensation:
• Salary range: $23.09-24.83 + $6 Wage Enhancement per hour for ECE certified staff (subject to improvement)
• Paid vacation starting at 2 weeks per year plus paid sick days
• Schedule: 35 hours per week (7 hour rotating shifts between 7:15am and 6pm)
• Location: Collingwood Neighbourhood House Infant & Toddler (5288 Joyce Street)
• Expected Start date: October 19th 2026
• Estimated End date: June 2028 Subject to change

This is a unionized position covered by a Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 1936.
