In your role within our Industry X team, you’ll help clients leverage significant market opportunities as digital technology becomes central to industry in product development and manufacturing. You’ll assist in transforming product, manufacturing, and related services value chains across sectors like Products, Communications, Media, High Tech, Aerospace & Defense, Chemicals, Mining, Oil & Gas, and Utilities. Responsibilities of the PTC Windchill Technical Architect include:

• Providing technical and domain expertise on complex projects.
• Participating in requirements gathering and specifications creation.
• Supporting the technical architect in technical design and configuration.
• Configuring applications based on functional and technical designs.
• Diagnosing and resolving defects during deployment and implementation; contributing to and executing implementation plans.
• Documenting configurations and architecture.
• Conducting unit, functional, and integration testing, including preparing test cases and data.
• Analyzing, designing, and implementing solution enhancements.
• Coaching workstream teams.
• Supporting project management teams across different workstreams.
• Programming: developing or modifying process extensions, documenting code.
• Reporting progress and issues.
• Travel up to 50% as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional experience programming with Windchill or other PTC products, including Java.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in English, as regular interaction with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• API development experience.
• Knowledge of systems implementation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and solutions.
• Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) concepts and solutions.
• Experience with PTC Windchill, PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink.
• Experience integrating PLM with enterprise applications like SAP, Salesforce using tools like Tibco, WebSphere, SOA.
• Experience with Windchill data migration and integration.
• Knowledge of IoT technologies such as RFID, Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, Cisco, Axeda, ThingWorx, WindRiver, SCADA, M2M, AI, 2lemetry, AWS, Azure.
• Experience managing multiple tasks, communicating effectively, and prioritizing.
