Industry X PTC Windchill Solution Architect

In your role within our Industry X.0 team, you will help clients leverage significant market opportunities as digital technology becomes central to industry in product development and manufacturing environments. You will assist in transforming their product, manufacturing, and related services value chains across various sectors including Products, Communications, Media, High Tech, Aerospace & Defense, Chemicals, Mining, Oil & Gas, and Utilities. Responsibilities of the PTC Windchill Solution Architect include:

1. Collaborate with the Accenture team and stakeholders to understand requirements, own specifications and design documents, and deploy applications.
2. Assist in analyzing, designing, and developing roadmaps and implementations based on current and future state architectures.
3. Facilitate development of assets and solution frameworks integrating R&D and Engineering business processes, technology trends, and digital priorities.
4. Identify key value drivers and demonstrate how digital transformation can enable enterprise imperatives.
5. Lead customer workshops and functional teams.
6. Coach implementation teams and provide functional system solutions for PLM.
7. Participate in functional design and architecture of solutions.
8. Design and implement application configurations aligning with business processes and requirements, reviewing specifications and conducting code walkthroughs.
9. Gather and analyze data to develop architectural requirements at the project level.
10. Advocate for best practices in Product Lifecycle Management and manufacturing processes.
11. Develop test plans to validate solutions against client needs.
12. Support sales campaigns and develop collateral such as case studies and marketing materials.
13. Contribute to thought leadership through white papers and industry perspectives.
14. Support the sales process from initiation to closing, including proposal development and client presentations.
15. Travel up to 50% as required.

Basic Qualifications:

1. 8+ years of experience with Windchill or other PTC products.
2. 10+ years in Manufacturing IT systems, including ERP, PLM, IoT, and QMS.
3. 2+ years project management experience in manufacturing IT systems.
4. Bachelor’s Degree.
5. Proficiency in English for regular interaction with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in at least two of the following industries: Aerospace & Defense, Electronics & High Tech, Energy & Utilities, Automotive, Industrial Equipment, Travel & Logistics, Consumer Packaged Goods.
2. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
3. Experience managing teams of five or more.
4. Knowledge of systems implementation methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
5. Understanding of manufacturing processes, including product design, fabrication, assembly, and materials.
6. Experience with CAD solutions like ANSYS, CREO, CATIA.
7. Experience with PTC Windchill, PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, including bulk migration and data integration.
8. Knowledge of IoT technologies and protocols, including RFID, Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, SCADA, M2M, AI, cloud platforms.
9. Ability to apply industry challenges and trends to technology solutions, and to reuse existing technologies effectively.
10. Proactive, results-oriented, and a strong team player with a flexible attitude.
11. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and articulate solutions clearly.
12. Demonstrated leadership in professional settings, with experience in business development and client engagement.
