Job summary

Veolia Water Technology is seeking a proactive Industry Marketing Manager to craft and execute marketing plans for North America. You will partner with market sales, commercial teams and application engineers to analyze industries, create win strategies, and produce compelling content across channels to generate leads and support growth.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated team member to create and execute marketing plans and strategies for customer segments (industries) within our Water Tech division for North America. This team member will work with market sales managers, commercial team members and application engineers to analyse their assigned markets, establish win strategies, create targeted messaging and compelling content, identify channels of communication, and execute these strategies to generate leads and support commercial growth. Content created can be such as case studies, videos, nurture campaigns, social media and web posts. Channels can include virtual and in-person events, online platforms, etc. The ideal candidate should understand the Veolia value proposition and offerings, and should be a driven collaborator. Reporting to the North America Marketing Leader, the Industry Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing projects that are aligned with the growth strategy and priorities. The tactics should be measurable and tied to growth and sales.

The role will work with our commercial teams to understand our value proposition and the customer success stories that we need to tell, create content from these stories, and support development of marketing plans designed to help generate growth. The role will measure and report the impact of the marketing tactics and work closely with Communications, Commercial Leaders, and Industry Leaders.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Listen to the voice of customers to understand market trends, pain points and needs to help the commercial team articulate value propositions that are customer focused
  • Translate very technical ideas into concise, useful, and impactful content that resonates with Veolia customers and prospects, aligned with business priorities and value generation
  • Understand metrics of marketing tactics and measurement of success, to facilitate reporting results to key stakeholders
  • Lead development of marketing plans to support a sustainable growth strategy
  • Understand and utilize internal processes for marketing plan components, including legal and branding reviews
  • Understand priorities of the business and focused areas of growth, ensuring all work aligns with those priorities
  • Closely collaborate with the commercial team and maintain a passion for their success
Skills
  • Demonstrated technical background with marketing education or experience
  • Demonstrated experience in concisely summarizing technical concepts, technologies and projects
  • Ability to extract, analyse and use data to gain insights and drive business decisions
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Marketing or a similar field

Preferred:

  • Minimum 4 years in a commercial or B2B marketing role
  • Experience planning and executing events, seminars, or webinars
  • Familiarity with social media strategy and content creation for B2B audiences
  • Experience in the water or environmental services industry, or other related industries
Working Conditions
  • Preferred location is within commutable distance to one of Veolia's facilities in North America (i.e. Trevose, PA; Minnetonka, MN; Oakville, ON; Montreal, QC, other)
  • Some travel required to support events, trade shows, seminars and meetings
  • Standard office working environment; no exposure to hazardous materials expected in this role

Compensation
  • The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $80,000-$110,000 CAD.
