Job summary

Sodexo Ltd at HMP Peterborough seeks an Industries Manager to lead and develop vocational training and purposeful activity, helping prisoners gain skills and improve their employment prospects on release.

Working with Education, Skills and Work, you will drive continuous improvement, ensure high-quality provision, manage resources and partnerships with training providers and external employers to support rehabilitation and resettlement.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Leadership/management qualifications or willingness to undertake programme.
• Experience in vocational education setting and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Industries staff, providing direction and fostering a safe, inclusive environment.
• Develop vocational training, qualifications and purposeful activities.
• Create/implement employability strategy aligned with local labour needs.
• Own quality assurance across Industries to reach at least 'Good' rating.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and other policies.
• Support SARs, audits, and drive improvement actions for both genders.
• Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders and SLAs.
• Identify opportunities to grow commercial revenue within contracts.
• Record data across Curious, VC2 and CMS; produce performance reports.
• Contribute to longer-term planning for Education, Skills and Work.
