Job summary

De Havilland Field is seeking a Project Manager-Industrialization to develop and execute manufacturing projects aligned with aerospace strategies in Calgary, Alberta.

The role requires 5+ years in Aerospace engineering/manufacturing, strong leadership, and experience in implementing new manufacturing technologies and lean concepts to improve production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Technical post secondary degree.
• 5+ years of Aerospace work experience in Engineering/Methods/Manufacturing.
• In depth knowledge of Aerospace Manufacturing Systems and aircraft.
• Experience leading project teams and implementing New Manufacturing Technologies.
• Knowledge of Lean concepts and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Development, coordination and execution of transformative projects linked to improved production efficiencies.
• Development of manufacturing cell design and plant layout.
• Coordination of projects aligned to manufacturing capabilities (Make vs Buy) including business cases.
• Project Governance and Oversight.

The Project Manager- Industrialization will be responsible for developing and executing project plans aligned with company manufacturing strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Development, coordination and execution of transformative projects linked to improved production efficiencies
• Development of manufacturing cell design and plant layout
• Coordination of projects aligned to company manufacturing capabilities and strategies (Make vs Buy) including business cases
• Project Governance and Oversight

Education & Experience

• Technical post secondary degree
• 5+ years of Aerospace work experience in an Engineering/Methods/Manufacturing
• In depth technical knowledge of Aerospace Manufacturing Systems, AerospaceEngineering Systems and the aircraft
• Experience in leading project teams and possess strong project management skills
• Experience in the identification and implementation of New Manufacturing Technologies
• Knowledge and experience with Lean concepts with a spirit for continuous improvement

• Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
• Ability to manage and act on multiple projects and priorities at one time.
