Job description

John Ross & Sons is currently seeking a Team Lead to join our team in Halifax! As the largest scrap metal recycling facility in Atlantic Canada, we seek energetic and safety-minded individuals to join our expanding team!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure facilities equipment is running smoothly
• Troubleshooting equipment and doing small repairs
• Supervising junior staff when manager is busy
• Maintain clean work environment
• Thinking on your feet
• Working in a team environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years experience as a team lead/supervisor
• Steel toed boots
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders

Experience with mechanical components, electrical knowledge, and/or experience as a Millwright considered an asset.
