Job summary

Flender seeks an Industrial Sales Head to lead the Quebec market and broader Eastern Canada region. You will drive business development, manage key accounts, and guide cross-functional teams to win new business.

A technical background in mechanical/electrical engineering plus 5–8 years in industrial sales is preferred. Fluency in English and French is required, with 40–60% travel within Quebec and Eastern Canada.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years in technical sales, application engineering, or service in industrial/OEM settings.
  • Experience with mechanical drives, gearboxes, or rotating equipment is a strong asset.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and customer contracts; proven BD and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% within Quebec and Eastern Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development and new customer acquisition in Quebec and Eastern Canada.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Prepare tenders and proposals, and submit to customers in a timely, professional manner.
  • Review contracts to ensure technical, commercial, and delivery requirements are met.
  • Coordinate work orders with Flender factories and order management.
  • Support on-time, on-budget project execution and post-sale technical assistance.

Flender Corporation Canada is growing, and we are currently looking for an Industrial Sales Head to join our mechanical team and lead the Quebec market and broader Eastern Canada region across diverse industry sectors.

Job Responsibilities
  • Drive business development and acquisition of new customers in Quebec and Eastern Canada, including regular customer visits, contract negotiations, and closing.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for additional products and services.
  • Prepare tenders and proposals for new product and service business and submit them to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review customer contracts to ensure Flender can satisfy all technical, commercial, and delivery requirements.
  • Prepare work orders using available tools and software for entry with Flender factories, in coordination with the order management team.
  • Follow up on delivery status as required, in close collaboration with the order management team.
  • Champion key aspects of project management within the business to support successful, on-time, and on-budget project execution.
  • Act as the lead technical expert and primary link to technical departments in Flender plants worldwide.
  • Ensure proper technical specification of products and prepare or issue technical documents as required.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to inside and outside sales teams, as well as to customers, for the full Flender product range.
  • Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical resolution for customer issues, coordinating with service and engineering teams as needed.
  • Represent Flender at industry events, trade shows, and customer seminars in the region, as required.
Qualifications

  • Strong project coordination or project management experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and French (bilingualism required to effectively support Quebec-based customers).
  • Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems and ERP/order management tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within Quebec and Eastern Canada (approximately 40–60% of the time, depending on business needs).
