Job summary

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, situated in Edmonton, is hiring a Journeyperson Plumber to install and service plumbing and heating for a large manufacturing environment. Requires adherence to safety standards and ability to work with air systems, gas lines, and vacuum pumps.

Night shift or rotating day shift options available, with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints, performing preventative maintenance, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training preferred.
• Industrial Plumber Trade Certification, 5th Period Apprentice and working towards an Industrial Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills for a diverse environment.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Installs plumbing assemblies into HVAC equipment.
• Reviews blueprints and specs; ensures drawings reflect changes.
• Tends to plumbing, air, and vacuum issues to keep production running.
• Participates in construction and remodeling projects involving plumbing or gas fitting.
• Maintains maintenance programs including cleaning of plumbing and HVAC equipment.
• Trains, directs, and supervises junior employees and apprentices.
