BBA is seeking a designer to deliver engineering projects in the mining, hydropower and heavy industry sectors. You’ll be based in the Greater Montréal area with a hybrid schedule and will design piping systems, develop 3D models, and produce isometric drawings for industrial projects.

You’ll use AutoCAD, CADWorx, SolidWorks and Navisworks, collaborating with internal teams across offices. A college diploma in mechanical engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• College diploma in mechanical engineering or related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience.
• Experience in mining/metals or heavy industry sectors.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx, SolidWorks and Navisworks.
• Advanced English to collaborate with other offices and clients; Advanced French for Québec clients.
• Nice-to-have knowledge of SmartPlant.

Responsabilités

• Prepare plans, specifications and other technical documents for piping sectors.
• Deliver high-quality service and build relationships with internal clients.
• Design piping systems, develop 3D models and produce isometric drawings.
• Use 3D scanning technology to model piping systems.
• Contribute to project scheduling, budgeting and tracking.
• Plan and manage project-specific criteria and standards.
• Ensure adequate resources for mandates and determine costs.
• Assess client satisfaction and maintain relationships.
