Job summary

Novatech is hiring a Paint Line Operator to join our day shift team. The painter reports to the supervisor and will ensure correct paint usage and clean, safe operations while painting profiles.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years in manufacturing, OSSD or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Health benefits are included in the compensation package. This is a full-time, permanent position at our facility in Vaughan, Ontario.

Qualifications

• OSSD or equivalent education is preferred.
• Minimum two years in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Experience with painting prep is preferred.

• Communicate with administrative, plant and supervisory staff as required.
• Report deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools to supervisor.
• Record product damage/nonconformities to supervisor.
• Review production schedule and special instructions.
• Ensure proper paint is used and paint all required sides of profiles.
• Keep work area clean and maintain a safe workplace.
• Ensure paint gun is cleaned and surface finish inspected.
• Advise supervisor/plant manager of issues as appropriate.

PAINT LINE OPERATOR

The company is currently recruiting for a Painter to join our team on the day shift. The painter reports directly to the supervisor.

Job Duties

• Communicate with administrative, plant and supervisory staff as required.
• Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to your supervisor.
• Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required.
• Review production schedule, including special instructions
• Ensure proper paint is utilized.
• Paint all required sides of profile.
• Keep work area clean
• Maintain a safe workplace
• Ensure paint gun is cleaned
• Inspect surface finish (i.e. missed paint surfaces, overspray, etc), advise Supervisor and/or Plant Manager as appropriate.

Skills And Abilities Required

• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.

Qualifications

• Preferably a high school diploma (OSSD) or related equivalent experience
• Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Preferably minimum one year experience with painting prepping.
