Job summary

Aerotek is seeking two Industrial Painters to perform painting, coating, and sandblasting in industrial settings, supporting welders and structural steel work in Surrey, BC. Candidates should be motivated self-starters with a strong safety mindset and the ability to operate power tools and apply epoxy or urethane coatings.

The role offers a full-time, contract-to-hire path with a Monday–Friday schedule at a refinery site in Burnaby and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial painting/blasting experience on industrial sites.
• Proficiency with power tool cleaning.
• Proficiency with brush and roller paint application.
• Ability to travel to the site daily (vehicle required).
• Good communication skills.
• Required certifications: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Respirator Fit tested.
• Personal Protective Equipment: FR Coveralls, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Task appropriate gloves.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

The work involves industrial painting, coating, and sandblasting within industrial environments. Responsibilities include pipe preparation work for welders and structural steel. We are looking for ambitious individuals with a go-getter attitude who consistently show up to work and are self-starters. Applicants should be motivated, understand and can operate power tools, and can apply epoxy and urethane coatings, all while maintaining a high level of safety.

Work Environment

The work environment is based at a refinery site in Burnaby. The shift is from Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with Fridays offering all overtime. Enjoy a structured schedule of five 10-hour days, with a long weekend every weekend. Breaks include a 15-minute morning break, a 30-minute lunch, and a 15-minute afternoon break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
