Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Solderer for a Markham, ON contract-to-permanent position. The role centers on precision hand soldering of electronic components across TH and SMT assemblies, with emphasis on quality and adherence to IPC A-610 standards.

You will work on through-hole and surface-mount soldering, perform rework with specialized tools, and ensure accurate inspection using a microscope. This onsite opportunity offers growth and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of through-hole soldering experience in an electronics production environment.
• Proficiency in hand soldering axial and radial leaded components.
• Experience soldering through-hole connectors, SIP and DIP packages.
• Experience using a microscope for inspection and precision soldering tasks.
• Knowledge of SMT/TH or Mix Tech assemblies as per IPC A-610 standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand soldering of axial and radial leaded components on printed circuit boards.
• Solder through-hole connectors, including Single In-line and Dual In-line Packages, to meet quality and reliability standards.
• Solder 0603 and larger chip components, as well as MELF components, with consistent accuracy.
• Solder fine-pitched surface-mount components.
• Solder connectors with tightly packed leads, maintaining proper alignment and minimizing defects.
• Carry out rework and repair using Hot Air Reflow and other de-soldering tools to remove and replace components as required.
• Inspect solder joints and component placement, using a microscope where required, to ensure compliance with assembly and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Must Haves
