Position: Painter

Position Summary

The Painter performs all types of industrial painting work and prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, taping, or other means as necessary. This summary serves as a guideline and may not include all functions of the job.

Duties

• Determine paint and procedures required based on priority list
• Mix, match, and blend various paints and protective coatings to achieve desired color, consistency, and drying properties
• Paint equipment using brushes, spray guns, and conventional or airless spray systems
• Erect and use ladders as required
• Check and document humidity, dew point, and mill thickness
• Meet production standard hours
• Apply primer and paint
• Clean and store tools and equipment; keep work site clean

Attributes We Seek

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial painter
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
• Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
