Job summary

McWane, Inc. is seeking a Millwright / Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.

This role supports production uptime, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will perform mechanical repairs, welding, fabrication, and occasional equipment overhauls, while following all safety rules and collaborating with supervisors to minimize downtime and resolve equipment issues on the

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or millwright work.
• Millwright trade certification or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical.
• Experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, and installation on machinery, tools, and industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
• Conduct inspections and diagnose root causes of equipment failures.
• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication when required.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, serviceable condition.
• Support major equipment overhauls and rebuilds.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance activities according to schedules.
• Document all maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used.
• Follow all EHS policies, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and safe work practices.
• Assist production teams with equipment setup, changeovers, and adjustments.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Collaborate with supervisors and operators to minimize downtime and resolve technical issues.
