Job summary

C-P Flexible Packaging in Aurora, Ontario is seeking a licensed Industrial Millwright for the afternoon shift. You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production equipment, ensuring safety and reliability in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

Valid Ontario 433A Industrial Millwright certificate required.
Experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
Operate shop machinery safely (lathes, grinders, welders).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving with teams.

Proactive with quality workmanship and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production and facility equipment.
Fabricate/modify machine parts to improve safety and efficiency.
Complete preventive maintenance and keep accurate records.
Diagnose and service pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems.
Inspect/repair pumps, valves, conveyors, and other equipment.
Read schematics to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Perform welding, fabrication, rigging, and hoisting as required.
Operate shop equipment safely (lathes, grinders, welders, forklifts).
Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safety requirements.
Support production by responding to breakdowns and after-hours calls.

C-P Flexible Packaging is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers. With a primary focus on serving the food industry, C-P specializes in roll stock, pouches, re-sealable packaging and shrink sleeves.

The Aurora plant is currently a 24/5 operation with 8 hours shifts.

Industrial Millwright (433A Licensed) Afternoon Shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Monday-Friday)

Join our Maintenance Team and help keep our operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. We are seeking a licensed Industrial Millwright who is safety-focused, mechanically skilled, and enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Position Summary

The Industrial Millwright is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving production and facility equipment to support continuous operations. This role plays a critical part in equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, machine safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production and building equipment
Fabricate and modify machine parts to improve equipment safety and efficiency
Complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Diagnose and have a strong knowledge to service and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems
Inspect, repair, and maintain pumps, valves, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment
Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fluid power schematics to troubleshoot equipment issues
Perform welding, fabrication, rigging, and hoisting activities as required
Operate shop equipment such as lathes, grinders, welders, forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes safely
Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety requirements to protect employees and equipment
Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns and participating in after-hours or on-call maintenance, as required
Keepthe building running safely and smoothly

Additional Responsibilities:

This individual will have daily duties and responsibilities. They will have to follow a detailed Preventative Maintenance and Food Defense Program schedule and fill out the proper documentation.
This is a straight afternoon shift - however the candidate selected must be flexible to cover vacation time etc. when needed.

Qualifications

Required

Valid Ontario Industrial Millwright (433A) Certificate of Qualification
Experience in a manufacturing or processing environment
Be competent to operate safely general shop machine and hand tools such as, Lathes, Grinders, and Welders
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and who works effectively with production and maintenance personnel
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A strong commitment to safe work practices
A proactive and self-motivated attitude
A skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and continuous improvement

Working Conditions

24/5manufacturing operation
Frequent walking, kneeling, climbing, and working in tightspaces
Occasional work at heights with proper training and equipment
Regular lifting ranging from 5 to 75 lbs.
