Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring an experienced Industrial Mechanic - Millwright for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on on-site machinery, read mechanical drawings and follow safety procedures on complex systems.

The role requires a 433A certificate, at least 1 year of millwright experience in manufacturing, and strong organization with excellent English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Hold a valid 433A certificate – Industrial Mechanic.
• Minimum 1 year millwright experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Strong organization, time management and communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on industrial machinery.
• Read mechanical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Follow safety and production procedures including lockout/tagout.
• Install and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, piping and compressed air systems.
• Use hand and power tools for cutting, bending, welding and more.
• Rig, install, align, level and adjust machinery when required.
• Identify issues, perform repairs and minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders.
• Ensure clean, organized and safe work area.
