NSCC's Institute of Skilled Trades in Halifax invites seasoned Industrial Mechanics (Millwrights) to transition into teaching. You’ll bring hands-on trade expertise to the Industrial Mechanical Apprenticeship program, delivering shop training and classroom instruction while mentoring students.

Qualificações

• Interprovincial Red Seal certification in Industrial Mechanical.
• Minimum five years of recent experience in Industrial Mechanic/Millwright.
• Experience in Machinist/Welding trades is a plus.
• Comfortable with MS Office Suite (Outlook).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety, mentorship, and lifelong learning.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver theoretical and hands-on shop training and classroom instruction.
• Share real-life industry knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
• Mentor and support students entering the trade.
• Help students build the skills employers seek.
• Promote health and safety practices in classrooms, shops, and labs.
• Collaborate with instructors and industry partners.
• Stay current with evolving technology and practices.
• Participate in advising, curriculum development, and work placement support.
