The Mosaic Company in Colonsay, SK is hiring a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic to maintain plant and underground mining equipment on a 5/5/4 continuous hourly shift. Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, fabricate, and install equipment while adhering to safety procedures and company policies.

Applicants must hold a Red Seal and demonstrate proficiency with power and hand tools, cutting and welding, and the ability to work in surface, shop, or underground

Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic

Where will you work: Onsite – Colonsay, Saskatchewan (Colonsay is located approximately 42 miles from City of Saskatoon, with an average driving time of about 45 minutes)

Shift Schedule - 5/5/4 Continuous Hourly: - $63.42, As per CBA As a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic at our Colonsay, SK location.

What you’ll do?

• Reporting to the maintenance supervisor you will work as part of a team and be responsible for servicing the plant equipment and underground mining equipment.
• Work safely in an industrial environment and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place.
• Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, fabricate, modify, and install plant equipment and or mining related equipment.
• Plan, layout and use trade skills for assigned work.
• Be able to work in the field, shop or underground.
• Proficient in laser alignment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to communicate and report any deficiencies or corrections noticed during routine maintenance or inspections either verbally or in writing.
• Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training.
• Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others.
• The position will require working on surface or underground as assigned.
• You may also be required to work a shift rotation requiring weekend work.

What you’ll need:

• A recognized, valid, Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic's Red Seal Certificate.
• Full knowledge of the safe utilization and care of power and hand tools.
• Full knowledge of cutting and welding practices.
• The ability to discern the state of mechanical condition of machines and equipment and take appropriate action.
• Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
