Job summary

The Mosaic Company is seeking a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic for onsite work at K3, Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. Starting wage is 63.56 CAD/hour under the local collective bargaining agreement.

Shift options include 5/5/4 or 9/80, with duties spanning inspection, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment. Eligibility requires a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic certificate, tool proficiency, and authorization to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic's Certificate.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, prints and manuals.
• Authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, adjust and maintain mechanical equipment on site.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble plant equipment per specifications.
• Safely operate units of mobile equipment, including cranes.
• Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems and components.
• Follow drawings, manuals and maintenance procedures.
• Adhere to OH&S and environmental requirements.

Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic

Where will you work: Onsite – K3, Esterhazy, Saskatchewan

Starting wage $63.56 as per local CBA.

Shift Schedule- 5/5/4 or 9/80

What you’ll do?

• Inspect, install, adjust, and maintain mechanical machines and equipment on site.
• Dismantle, repair, and assemble plant equipment in line with manufacturers' specifications and recommended standards.
• Safely operate specific units of mobile equipment including overhead and mobile crane.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and components.
• Display full knowledge and use of drawings, prints, sketches, and parts manuals.
• Display full knowledge precision maintenance tools.
• Operate all equipment serviced or repaired.
• Pass all related training classes.
• Work from ladder, platform, staging scaffold, swing stage and mobile equipment basket.
• If required must be prepared to train and handle firefighting duties as a member of the shift fire crew.
• Interpret and carry out written or oral instructions, and to make written reports as required.
• Diligently adhere to all relevant legal environmental requirements.
• Diligently ensure that all relevant OH&S requirements and in-house safety regulations are complied with.

What you’ll need:

• A recognized, valid, Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic's Certificate.
• Full knowledge of the safe utilization and care of power and hand tools.
• Full knowledge of cutting and welding practices.
• The ability to discern the state of mechanical condition of machines and equipment and take appropriate action.
• Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
