Position Overview

We are seeking to fill 2 permanent, full-time Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) positions in Port Mellon, BC. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will install, inspect, adjust, and repair equipment, ensuring safety and standards are maintained. You will work as part of a team or independently, maintaining precision and safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain machinery and rotating equipment
• Adjust and align machinery and equipment
• Read technical instructions and blueprints
• Participate in and learn precision maintenance skills
• Inspect machinery for irregularities and malfunctions
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, connect couplings and belts with precision
• Perform predictive and operational maintenance procedures
• Maintain detailed maintenance reports and documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification
• Willingness to learn and work hard
• Flexible with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Working knowledge of safety standards for equipment

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate of $48.66 as per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement. Overtime paid accordingly. Benefits include extended health/dental coverage and pension.
