Your day-to-day!

• Operate the hydroelectric power plants by conducting and documenting all regular monitoring and maintenance;
• Carry out actions required to optimize the output and production of the power plants;
• Participate in monitoring and executing a Preventative Maintenance program for plants and facilities equipment, including electrical and mechanical testing and repair of equipment;
• Read pneumatic and hydraulic drawings;
• Troubleshoot and resolve alarms generated by the hydroelectric power plants to minimize downtime (availability 24/7) when on duty;
• Manage and/or assist specialized contractors/consultants for maintenance and repairs at the power plants;
• Participate in daily work planning and operations activities;
• Adhere to and implement Occupational Health and Safety standards and Innergex policies;
• Be on-call (standby) for urgent situations related to production and security, rotating on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule, handling emergencies during your on-call period, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Your skills, our requirements!

• Relevant or equivalent training and experience; experience as a millwright or industrial-heavy mechanic is preferred;
• Possess a BC driver’s license in good standing and an appreciation for outdoor work;
• Experience with 4-wheel drives and snowmobiles is required (Class 1 driver’s license is an asset);
• Experience with hydro plant operations is an asset;
• Experience in heavy equipment operation is an asset;
• Must be a “hands-on”, self-starter;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and computer);
• Willingness to pursue further education relevant to the role; Innergex provides formal and in-house training.

Additional considerations!

• The position is based at the Rutherford site.
• This is an O3 level position.

The Site And Work Details

• The site is located 10 minutes south of Pemberton, BC;
• Work schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day, totaling 80 hours every two weeks;
• Travel time to/from the site is not included in working hours.

Pay Transparency Statement

Compensation varies depending on skills, education, and experience. We value pay equity and internal fairness. The base salary range for this role is $78,000 - $95,000, exclusive of benefits and bonuses. Final salary offers depend on individual qualifications and internal equity considerations.
