Job summary

Eclipse Automation in Cambridge, Ontario is seeking an Industrial Mechanic for the day shift to assemble, test, and commission custom automated systems within the Energy Division. The role is on-site, full-time, with hourly compensation of CAD 36.00 to CAD 44.00 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include reading complex engineering drawings, assembling and aligning systems, troubleshooting equipment, performing heavy lifts, and traveling to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification for a Millwright, Tool & Die Maker, Iron worker, or equivalent energy/industrial experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Z299 or N299 energy projects is an asset.
• Experience moving heavy machinery is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Candu refurbishment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings including pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
• Assemble, align, plumb, and integrate work stations or systems that may include pneumatics/hydraulics, electrical sensing components, power transmission systems, and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot, service, and perform required repairs to automated equipment.
• Plan and execute heavy lifts ranging from 10–100 tons with rigging and safety compliance.
• Travel to customer locations for service and install; must have valid driver’s license and passport.
