Job summary

Doman Building Materials Group Ltd. in Abbotsford, BC, seeks a Maintenance Person to maintain equipment at a wood preserving plant. The role focuses on repairs, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance under the General Manager's supervision.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience preferred.
• Mechanical and welding skills preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to meet quality, productivity, and reliability expectations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery breakdowns.
• Adjust equipment and replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Operate drills, grinders, welders, and cutting torches safely.
• Identify opportunities for safety, quality, and reliability improvements.
• Conduct periodic inspections and preventative maintenance.
