The role requires strong hands‑on diagnostic ability across both Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) and Siemens PLC platforms. Afternoon Shift : 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

Night Shift : 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, controls, communications, and automation-related equipment failures.

  • Diagnose Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) and Siemens PLC-controlled systems using programs, I/O status, alarms, and electrical drawings.

  • Maintain conveyors, shuttle systems, ASRS equipment, robotics, scanners, sensors, safety circuits, VFDs, motors, and control panels.

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective electrical maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and site procedures.

  • Respond to breakdowns, identify root causes, and safely restore equipment with minimal operational disruption.

  • Support installations, upgrades, commissioning, network troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects.

  • Complete inspections, work orders, parts usage, program-change records, and repair documentation in the CMMS.

  • Follow electrical safety, arc-flash, LOTO, and all site‑specific requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Alberta Journeyperson Electrician certificate or recognized equivalent; Red Seal endorsement is preferred.

  • At least 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience with automated or PLC-controlled equipment.

  • Hands‑on troubleshooting experience with Allen‑Bradley (Rockwell) and/or Siemens PLC platforms; experience with both is strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial controls, motor control circuits, safety circuits, sensors, encoders, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, equipment manuals, and PLC logic.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing breakdowns, and make sound decisions during off‑shift operations.

  • Clear communication, teamwork, and accurate technical documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Comprehensive benefits, pension, and company savings programs.

  • Ongoing training in automation, controls, and advanced material‑handling systems.

  • Stable, long‑term work with PLCs, robotics, ASRS, and warehouse automation technology.
