Job summary

Cyclic Materials is seeking an experienced I&C Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and perform breakdown recovery on plant equipment at our Ontario facility. You will work with motors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs and instrumentation to keep operations safe and productive.

Responsibilities include installing and upgrading equipment, performing preventive maintenance, writing SOPs, maintaining records, and coordinating with operations to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• 442A Industrial Electrician or 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician with industrial experience required.
• 447A instrumentation and controls certification preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC/HMI and performing basic programming adjustments.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in metal recycling or manufacturing.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training in electrical/mechanical systems preferred.
• Dual-ticket Millwright/Electrician is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant electrical, instrumentation and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose issues with motors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, switches, flow meters, pumps and crushers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and use diagnostic tools to reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections and parts usage.
• Coordinate with operations, production and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Communicate equipment status and repair requirements to supervisors.
• Follow safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out (LOTO).
