Job summary

Zéro-C in Laval, QC, is seeking an HVAC/R Service Refrigeration Technician to diagnose, maintain, and restart industrial systems using NH3, CO2, and HFC refrigerants. You will collaborate with our technical team to ensure reliability, safety, and performance for diverse installations.

You will read schematics, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repair compressors, install components, and participate in commissioning and start-ups, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in HVAC/R service, maintenance, or controls.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Autonomy, resourcefulness, and ability to work on the road.
• Strong interest in NH3 and CO2 refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on industrial HVAC/R systems using NH3, CO2, and HFC refrigerants to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures to restore equipment to service quickly and efficiently.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to extend the lifespan of installations.
• Repair NH3 reciprocating and screw compressors; training provided if required.
• Install or replace components such as compressors, condensers, motors, and heat exchangers to maintain system compliance and efficiency.
• Read and interpret technical plans and schematics to carry out work accurately.
• Perform adjustments, testing, commissioning, and final start-ups to ensure system performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service practices and field interventions.
• Perform other related duties as required.
