Job summary

Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment at our Laval location. You will diagnose, repair, and service mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, using common hand tools and power equipment.

You will also document work, maintain safety standards, and mentor apprentices as needed. The role requires strong diagnostic abilities, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work within allocated budgets while

Qualifications

• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and propane systems.
• Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine powered material handling equipment.
• Experience with hand tools and measuring devices, and electrical/electronic diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Work within budgets and approvals provided by the Service Manager.
• Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency, and gross margin.
• Maintain a quality of work metric of 98% (percent of work completed right the first time).
• Accurately record all work done for customer and warranty records.
• Maintain current product knowledge of equipment specific to industry/branch location.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain OH&S knowledge.
• Ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste material.
• Perform service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman.
• Participate in Service Training programs for skill development.
• Mentor apprentices.
