Industrial Engineering Student

You will be involved in day-to-day current state studies such as PMTS time study, multi-moment study, and spaghetti chart analysis. You will contribute to the success of the team through tasks related to ongoing production performance, focusing on efficiency, productivity, and flow interrupters. Collaboration with various departments and stakeholders will be essential to define new improvement projects.

Your Tasks:
  • Conduct time studies to analyze work patterns, develop optimized solutions, and document workflows as algorithms to estimate labor hours accurately.
  • Gather data for method studies, including process layouts, step-by-step operations, material lists, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform motion studies and visually represent findings using spaghetti diagrams to identify inefficiencies.
  • Execute multi-moment studies on production operations to assess current performance, focusing on bottleneck areas.
  • Support operational excellence initiatives through detailed documentation and analysis.
  • Assist in continuous improvement projects by maintaining thorough documentation and contributing to risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated passion for Industrial Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, with involvement in time and motion studies.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial engineering (completed or in progress).
  • Proficiency in PMTS analysis and documentation standards.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
