Job description

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer responsible for optimizing manufacturing operations through the development and implementation of efficient production processes, facility layouts, equipment management, and maintenance strategies. This position plays a key role in supporting production growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring equipment reliability.

The Industrial Engineer leads projects related to new equipment installations, facility improvements, maintenance management, tooling organization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Maintenance Management
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with maintenance standards.
  • Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage relationships with equipment suppliers and external service providers.
New Equipment & Machine Installation
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of new machinery installations.
  • Ensure equipment is installed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
  • Coordinate machine commissioning, testing, and production startup activities.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and Health & Safety teams during implementation projects.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
Facility Layout & Manufacturing Flow
  • Design and optimize production layouts to improve workflow, productivity, and material flow.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend layout modifications to support growth and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain plant layout drawings and facility documentation.
  • Support capacity planning and production expansion projects.
Tooling Management
  • Manage tooling inventory and storage systems for Production.
  • Ensure production teams have access to the proper tools and equipment required to perform their work safely and efficiently.
  • Develop standardization programs for tooling and equipment.
  • Coordinate the procurement, maintenance, calibration, and replacement of tools.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and operational performance.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all equipment installations and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Support World Class Manufacturing initiatives and best practices.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE, YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs and equipment installations.
  • Experience in facility layout design and manufacturing process optimization.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and methodologies.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
