Job summary

Draw Energy is seeking Industrial Electrical Apprentices of all levels and Journeypersons to join our team for in-town and out-of-town work across Western Canada. You will read drawings, install wiring, fixtures, and panels, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.

Ideal candidates have experience in the industrial sector, familiarity with Procore, and current schooling hours. Travel may be required, and safety is a top priority in our equal-opportunity workplace.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the industrial sector preferred.
  • Procore or related software experience required.
  • Completion of current year of schooling and hours.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
  • Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.
  • Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
  • Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and distribution equipment.
  • Test continuity of circuits and troubleshoot faults.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and keep records.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
  • Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors
  • Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
  • Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels
  • Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits
  • Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repair
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components
  • Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • Perform duties as assigned
