Adecco is currently hiring an Industrial Electrician (Red Seal) for a full-time opportunity in a manufacturing environment in SE Calgary, AB. Licensed electrician with experience in industrial maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, automation systems, electrical repairs, and preventative maintenance will thrive in this role.

Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, supporting plant operations, and ensuring all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Valid Provincial Electrician Journeyman Certificate with Red Seal designation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed Industrial Electrician.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, automation systems.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Industrial manufacturing or plant maintenance experience preferred.
• Willingness to shift rotations and overtime, including weekends.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

This role is ideal for licensed electricians with experience in industrial maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, automation systems, electrical repairs, and preventative maintenance.

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, supporting plant operations, and ensuring all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.

• Pay Rate: $42.55/hour

• Location: SE Calgary, AB

• Shift: 8-hour shifts | Rotating schedule

• Job type: Permanent|Full-time

Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, electronic, and automation systems.

• Install, maintain, and service plant equipment and facility electrical systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

• Support PLC, instrumentation, and automated equipment troubleshooting.

Preventative Maintenance & Safety

• Perform preventative maintenance activities according to schedules and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety, GMP, HACCP, and company standards.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including parts and materials used.

• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

• Communicate equipment issues and repair status effectively.

• Assist with additional maintenance projects as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Provincial Electrician Journeyman Certificate with Red Seal designation.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed Industrial Electrician.

• Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, automation, and instrumentation.

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.

• Industrial manufacturing or plant maintenance experience is preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work shift rotations and overtime, including weekends when required.

• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, lifts, and performing occasional heavy lifting.

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
