Job summary
Wonderbrands in Calgary, AB is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to repair and maintain industrial bakery equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. You will support production uptime, execute preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot systems following SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Day-to-day duties include PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting, repair and installation of electrical equipment, wiring of automated systems, and supporting continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Must have Industrial Electrician License (442A) or 309A.
- 2–5 years' industrial electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong PLC knowledge and ability to assist trades as required.
Responsibilities
- PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting, including modification and calibration; VFD and servomotor experience.
- Repair, troubleshooting and installation of machinery including electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation.
- Electrical wiring and testing of automated systems.
- Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability; contribute to continuous improvement and PM schedules.
- Comply with food safety, health and safety, GMP and environmental policies.
