Job description

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for an Industrial Electrician in our Windsor, Ontario Stampings Facility. The Industrial Electrician is responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance. The ideal candidate will have prior electrical experience in an automotive setting, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

1. Provide maintenance support to all areas, ensuring that machines and facilities operate safely and efficiently.
2. Improve electrical processes to minimize production disruption and downtime.
3. Safely install and maintain electrical machinery and equipment.
4. Perform repairs to machinery and plant support systems: hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, drives, bearings, and gears.
5. Read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems.
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives through documentation updates.
7. Understand and work with mechanical and electrical prints.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 442A or 309A License
• Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability and certification to operate Aerial Lift.
• Willingness to learn and retain knowledge of robot programming and PLCs.
• Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity for using mechanical machines and instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
