Job summary

Richardson International seeks an Industrial Electrician for the Thunder Bay Port Terminal. You will support electrical repair and preventive maintenance of heavy industrial plant equipment, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems, while adhering to safety rules. The role requires physical capability and availability for after-hours calls; pension and benefits are part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician with 2+ years of heavy industrial experience or 2nd and 3rd year apprentices.
• Skilled in troubleshooting electrical schematics, automation, and plant equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and working in confined spaces, heights, and extreme conditions.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer applications.
• Safety-focused, with a strong work ethic and availability for shifts, shutdowns, and emergency call-ins.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical and control equipment.
• Participates in training related to this position.
• Operates in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices.
• Provides assistance to other Maintenance team members.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis.
