Job summary

Johnson Electric in Mississauga is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain, repair, refurbish, and commission production equipment. The role covers CNC, PLC, robotics, and automated assembly systems, with a focus on equipment reliability and safety.

You will read mechanical drawings, diagnose issues, and work with cross-functional teams to upgrade and improve processes. Onsite position with shift rotations including days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair abilities across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems.
• Ability to lift, climb, stand, and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, refurbish, and support production equipment and facilities while meeting quality and safety standards.
• Repair, assemble, debug, install, and start up CNC, PLC, robotic, and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems, machine tooling, and production lines to minimize downtime.
• Read drawings and manuals, interpret schematics, and follow equipment documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams on upgrades and improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for equipment reliability and safety.
