Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support a large industrial facility in operations and maintenance. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems up to 480V 3‑phase.

The ideal candidate has strong industrial maintenance experience, proficiency with VFDs, PLCs, building automation, and CMMS (Maximo), and a commitment to safety and reliability. This full-time role is based in Ontario, Canada.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician (442A or 309A).
• 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with 480V 3‑phase systems, motors, VFDs, PLCs, drives, HVAC, BAS.
• 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment up to 480V 3‑phase.
• Repair motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, drives, lighting, HVAC, RTUs, and BAS.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance using a CMMS.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify deficiencies and load issues.
• Use BAS to monitor conditions and equipment performance.
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and drawings; follow safety procedures.
• Participate in lockout/tagout procedures and safety analyses.
• Analyze performance to improve reliability and efficiency.

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support a leading client in the operations and maintenance of a large industrial facility. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on facility electrical and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial maintenance experience, the ability to diagnose complex electrical issues, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and facility systems up to 480V, 3-phase.
• Repair and maintain motors, motor control circuits, VFDs, PLCs, drives, lighting systems, HVAC equipment, chillers, rooftop units (RTUs), and building automation systems.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Conduct infrared thermographic inspections to identify electrical system deficiencies, hot spots, load imbalances, and equipment degradation.
• Utilize building automation systems to monitor facility conditions and equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, AC/DC drives, relay logic, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Participate in lockout/tagout procedures, job hazard analyses, and all safety initiatives.
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Skills and Requirements

• Licensed Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or equivalent certification. (442A OR 309A)
• Minimum 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with: 480V 3-phase electrical systems, Motors and motor controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), PLCs and automation systems, HVAC electrical systems, and Building automation controls -Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
