Job summary

Labatt Breweries of Canada in Creston, BC is seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician to support plant electrical systems and preventative maintenance on a rotating shift schedule.

You will install, repair and inspect electrical equipment, read codes, plan wiring layouts, and work with the team to troubleshoot and maintain high uptime in a manufacturing environment. Province-qualified ticket required; SAP/CMMS familiarity a plus. Competitive hourly wage with union benefits and overtime.

Qualifications

• Provincially Qualified Electrician ticket required
• 1 year industrial electrician experience; 3 years preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Good PLC troubleshooting and programming understanding
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
• Experience with SAP and CMMS is a plus

SALARY: The hourly rate for this role is $43.22 per hour.

• This is a unionized position with progressive yearly increases as per as per CBA

OVERTIME ELIGIBILITY: This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable labour laws and pursuant with collective agreement. Overtime is paid at the legally required rate and may vary based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule. This includes double time Saturdays, and any hours over 40 at 2.5x on Sundays and statuary holidays.

SHIFT: Rotating shift, Monday - Thursday, 10 hours per shift:

• 6:00am - 4:00pm
• 4:00pm – 2:00am

Shift premiums afternoon shift $0.75 per hour and night shift $1.15 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Install, alter, repair, maintain various electrical systems and related equipment
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications
• Plan layout and illustration of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including disassembling and reassembling electrical equipment/machinery
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, to ensure compliance with codes
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program for plant equipment

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess Provincially Qualified Electrician ticket
• 1 year experience as industrial electrician mandatory; 3 years experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Good understanding of PLC troubleshooting and programming
• Excellent troubleshooting, Demonstrate problem-solving skills and Continuous learning mind set
• Experience in SAP and other CMMS systems as an asset
