Job summary

Vention, headquartered in Montreal, Canada, seeks an Applications Engineer to translate customer requirements into effective automation designs using our 3D MachineBuilder and modular components. You will lead design reviews, qualify projects, and interact with suppliers while supporting machine deployments and after-sales activities.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting, balancing multiple projects and advocating for customer needs in the product roadmap.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the OEM or System Integrator field with experience in a broad range of industrial automation applications.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
Take-charge attitude with a solution-oriented mindset.
Thrives in fast-paced environments handling multiple projects.
Curiosity to learn, collaborative mindset, and drive to contribute to meaningful work.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with flagship manufacturers to understand requirements and design solutions using Vention’s 3D MachineBuilder and modular components.
Lead design review sessions with clients to provide feedback on designs.
Qualify projects and support the sales team with feasibility checks.
Prepare requests for proposals for third-party components and interact with potential suppliers.
Create custom parts and drawings using CAD software as needed.
Support deployment of machines and after-sales activities.
Advocate for customer needs in product roadmap and engineering requirements.
