Job summary

ANDRITZ Canada, Chambly site, seeks a Systems Engineer (project engineer) to own the technical scope of automation and electrical systems from concept to commissioning. You will coordinate between engineering, procurement, suppliers, plant, site, and client, while contributing to detailed engineering.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or automation, 5–10 years in industrial project engineering, and leadership in coordinating engineering activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, or equivalent field.
• 5–10 years of experience in industrial project engineering.
• Experience in industrial automation, electrical systems, or hydroelectric projects.
• Demonstrated leadership in technical coordination of engineering and subcontracting activities.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interfaces between engineering groups and client.
• Define technical strategy and supply/manufacturing plans.
• Monitor progress and address deviations.
• Manage technical changes after design freeze or client requests.
• Ensure technical, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
