Job summary

Northern Health is seeking an Indigenous Wellness Liaison to deliver trauma-informed, culturally safe substance use stabilization in collaboration with the Northwest teams. The role supports Indigenous persons and their families through assessment, crisis intervention and follow-up within an interprofessional framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an allied health, behavioral or social science field and 2 years of related health experience.
• Experience with individuals with complex, concurrent disorders is preferred.
• Knowledge of Indigenous wellness concepts and harm reduction is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, culturally safe substance use stabilization services.
• Coordinate assessment, crisis intervention and follow-up with Indigenous clients.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams, including physicians, nurses and NFNA/FNHA partners.
• Lead integration of concurrent treatment and support transition to community care.
