Job summary

Dilico Anishinabek Family Care in Thunder Bay, ON is seeking an Indigenous Recruitment Liaison. You will recruit and retain Indigenous candidates, develop recruitment strategies, and work closely with community partners to create accessible career opportunities within the organization.

You will engage with Indigenous students, job seekers, and leaders to promote culturally relevant recruitment support while aligning practices with Indigenous values and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Indigenous Studies or related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • An individual of Anishinabe ancestry with understanding of Anishinabe history, culture, traditions, ceremonies and values preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with Indigenous communities, ideally in recruitment/education/outreach.
  • Experience with recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
  • Experience with a Human Resources Information System, preferably ADP.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; ability to travel regularly.
  • Criminal records check required, satisfactory to Dilico.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and retain Indigenous candidates for employment opportunities.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies in collaboration with community partners.
  • Engage with Indigenous populations to access career opportunities within the organization.
  • Promote employment and educational opportunities with cultural relevance and guidance.
  • Coordinate with Indigenous students, job seekers, and community leaders to facilitate access to career pathways.
