Job summary

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized teacher education program.
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate.
  • Experience with Indigenous students and families.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous histories and perspectives.
  • Ability to collaborate with school and district teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning in Indigenous Education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instructional and non-instructional support to Indigenous students.
  • Support literacy and numeracy through targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with administrators and teachers to plan culturally responsive instruction.
  • Monitor progress using assessments and data.
  • Engage families and communities to support student success.
  • Contribute to district initiatives on equity and Indigenous education.
